Obituary

Sybil Joy McGrady Goad, 88, of Laurel Fork, passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at her home. Mrs. Goad was born in Carroll County to the late Spurgeon and Myrtle Worrell McGrady. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Goad; brother, Gordon McGrady and Clyde McGrady; and a sister, Georgia Dalton.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Paul Wayne and Debbie Goad of Laurel Fork; two grandchildren and spouses, Melissa Goad and Randy Marshall, and Brandon and Nikki Goad; and four great-grandchildren, Will Higgs, Bentley Marshall, Annie Marshall, and Maycie Goad.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Elder Ronnie Mills and Evangelist Angie Lineberry officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
