Steven Darrell Quesenberry, 59 of Willis, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at his home.  Mr. Quesenberry was born in Stuart, Virginia on November 24, 1964.  He was preceded in death by his father, James Ralph Quesenberry; maternal grandparents, Marie Dalton Horton and Charlie Horton; paternal grandparents, Marjory and Vernon Goad and Claude Arthur Quesenberry; sister-in-law, Cathy Ham Soria; and mother-in-law, Wanda Gay Ham.

Darrell was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.  He worked at Nester's Store as a small engine mechanic for over 20 years and serviced nearly every mower in the county.  When not working at the store, you could usually find him at a carp pond fishing and throughout the years he has won multiple carp tournaments. He also loved his fur babies, especially his cat Popsicle. Darrell was a loyal and devoted friend to many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie Quesenberry of the home; stepdaughter, Sasha Bobbitt (Ricky); stepson, Cameron Manning (Nicole); grandchildren, Dakota, Jayden, Paige and Isaiah Zay Paul; mother, Carolyn Goad; brother, Jason Goad; sisters, Farrar Cook (Jodie) and Alecia Haynes (Troy); step-mother, Joy Quesenberry; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Howard Nester officiating.  Burial will follow in the Gardner Cemetery on Poplar Hill Road.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
