Steven Allen Kenyon, 59, of Hillsville, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at McGuire VA Hospital in Richmond. Mr. Kenyon is survived by his children and spouses, Steve and Melanie Kenyon of Hillsville, Chad and Anna Kenyon of Galax, and Naomi and Brent Smythers of Greenville, SC; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Bob Williams of Adams, Massachusetts, Jackie and Phil Mitchell of St. Albans, West Virginia, and Cheryl Kenyon and David Lane of Galax; and nine grandchildren, Amber, Cody, Brandon, Ethan, Kloe, Madison, Jaidaleigh, Emilee, and Lydia. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 3:00 PM with Charlie Alderman officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the memorial service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
