Steven Odell Combs, Sr., 68 of Fancy Gap passed away on Friday, March 6, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Carly and Amanda Hawks Combs; brother, Raymond Combs; son-in-law, Gary Blanton. Survivors include two daughters, Lisa Martinez of Fancy Gap, and Vicky Blanton of Fancy Gap; two sons and daughters-in-laws, Steven Combs, Jr. and Jessica Bottoms of Cana, and James and Tracey Combs of Fancy Gap; brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Shelia Combs of Yadkinville, NC; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and J.P Cannon of SC; Barbara and J.B. Cornett of Cleveland, NC; twenty three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Minister James Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Phillips Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 one hour prior to the funeral service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Combs family.
