Steve Jefferson Edwards, Jr., 79, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Edwards was born in Carroll County to the late Steve Jefferson Edwards, Sr. & Grace Lineberry Edwards. He is survived by his wife Rubye Edith Edwards of the home; sons & daughters-in-law Dylan & Barbara Edwards of Hillsville, Delane & Charleen Edwards of Hillsville, and Stacey & Rhonda Edwards of Woodlawn; daughter & son-in-law Jennifer & David Burnette of Hillsville; sister Anna Lee Sizemore of Galax; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Coulson Church of the Brethren at 2:00 PM with Rev. Russell Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Steve Jefferson Edwards, Jr. to the Coulson Church Building Fund, 4127 Coulson Church Road, Hillsville, VA 24343.
