Shirley Jean Padgett Lyons, 76, of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023 in Northern Regional Hospital, Mt. Airy, North Carolina. Mrs. Lyons was born February 11, 1947 in Carroll County to the late Carlie and Winona Newman Padgett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William R. (Billy) Lyons; siblings Robert Padgett, Bill Padgett and Don Padgett.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Melisa Martin and Kevin; sons and daughter-in-law
Bobby Lyons, Doug Lyons and Chelsie; grandchildren: Morgan Lyons, Burkley Lyons, Karter Lyons, Turner Martin Jace Martin, Connor Lyons, Madison Lyons, Maddox Lyons; great grandchild: Foster McCraw. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Wendell Horton officiating. Burial will follow in the Gladesboro Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 15 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel.
