Shirley C. Martin, 74, of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Martin was born in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Lyman and Lottie Edwards Coltrane. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Olen Rush Martin and her daughter, Christine Martin. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Sharon Martin, of Mt. Airy, NC and Randy Martin and Tammy Cook, of Hillsville; sister, Frieda Deskins, of Hillsville; granddaughter and spouse, Kimberly and John Lane; and great granddaughter, Alhana Brinley Lane. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Wayne Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
