Sherry Gwen Moore Brooks, 69 of Galax, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at UVA Medical Center.  Ms. Brooks was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Sylvan and Donna L. Jennings Moore.

Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Brooks and Connie Evans and husband, Tracy; grandchildren, Tanner Evans and Mason Evans; siblings, Brenda Loyd, Linda Burnette (Rufus), Dale Moore (Brenda), and James Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services with burial following will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Allison Chapel Cemetery at 11:30 AM with Brother Doug Goad officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the graveside service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
