Shaunya Pauline Harmon Horton went to reside with her Lord and Savior on July 20, 2024, at home with Mark by her side, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She had a special bond with animals, especially her cats. She lived her life fully and loved her friends dearly.

She was born July 29, 1973, in Galax, to Winona Cox. She was preceded in death by her mother, her uncle, David Cox and her grandparents, Rennie and Janice Cox.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Horton; a sister Lauren Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Gabby Escamilla Harmon; a nephew, Matthew Jones, and an uncle, Johnny Cox.

There will be no service at this time. Per her request, her ashes will be spread at North Myrtle Beach, which was her favorite place to be.
