Sharronann H. Vogel Walsh, 64, of Hillsville, passed away on July 19, 2015 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. Sharronann is the daughter of Raymond L. Vogel of Patterson, NJ and Geraldine Vogel Ulrich of Pittsfield, MA, born on May 17, 1951 in Jacksonville, FL. As a child she was raised in Pittsfield, MA and was a 1969 graduate of Pittsfield High School. Sharronann is survived by her husband of 32 years, Patrick Walsh; a son, Robert Rosier, Sr., and his wife, Jennifer, a daughter, Jameemarie Quesinberry and her husband Tommy all of Hillsville; ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; five brothers, Roger Hassan, Sr. and his wife, Colleen of Pittsfield, MA, Henry Hassan, III and his companion, Nicole of Adams, MA, Jeffrey Hassan and his wife, Kathleen of Pittsfield, MA, Eric Hassan and his wife, Christine of Adams, MA and Joseph Ulrich, Jr. and his wife, Ann Marie of Windsor, ME; four sisters, Rose Lown and her husband, David of Pittsfield, MA, Lois Steele and her husband, Edwin of Dalton, MA, Diane Hatch and her husband, Richard of Unity, ME, and Joanne Johnson and her husband, David of Marion, IN; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Cheryl Russell of Woodlawn, Ann Cochrane of Hillsville, Bruce and Linda Hodges of Mt. Airy, NC and Adolph Rosier of Woodlawn. Sharronann was preceded in death by two wonderful step fathers, Henry W. Hassan, Jr. and Joseph F. Ulrich, Sr., maternal grandparents, Robert and Harriett Jones; and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Helen Sharp. Sharronann was employed by Galax Gazette and Roanoke Times. She worked for General Electric in Massachusetts. Sharronann enjoyed crafting, collecting Koalas, being an avid Bill Anderson fan, and spending time with her family. Burial will be private at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
