Sharon Huff Branscome, 55 of Hillsville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 9, 2007 after an eight year battle with a brain tumor. Sharon is survived by her husband Garry Branscome of the home; mother Alice Huff of Hillsville; mother-in-law Laura Branscome of Hillsville; two aunts Georgia Jennings and Ruby Robinson; uncle Dewey Montgomery; and several cousins and beloved feline friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Dr. Allen Cherry and Rev. Gary Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Dry Pond Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM and will be meeting at the home of Laura Branscome at 879 South Main Street, Hillsville. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church or to Dinwiddie Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
