Savonne Woods, 84 of Cana, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 18, 2024.  Mrs. Woods was born in Carroll County to the late Fred and Mary E. Strickland Combs.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Emmett J. Woods; children, infant son Craig Lee Woods and Tim Woods; and siblings, Delta Combs Butcher and J.C. Combs.

Mrs. Woods attended and was a member of the Rocky Ford Christian Church in Cana, Virginia and she had a strong faith in God. Savonne and Junior were the owners and operators of Collinsville's Produce in Collinsville, Virginia. She loved people and she never met a stranger. Savonne loved her family and adored having company visit her in her home. She also enjoyed visiting others at their home.  She loved working in her flowers and enjoyed them in every season. Throughout her lifetime, she loved traveling with her husband and children. Her favorite trips included traveling out west and visiting the beach. She loved eating out weekly with her family.  She also loved talking on the phone. Her favorite quote was "There is good in Everyone".

Survivors include her children, Lisa Frost and husband, Jeff, Beth Hale and husband, Terry, and Shanna Hunt and husband, Arnie; grandchildren, Stevi Winer and husband, Matt, Brent Woods, and Cameron Hale; great-grandchildren, Parker Winer and Warren Winer; siblings, Lavern Combs, Linda Hawks, Benice Combs, and Barbara Combs; several nieces and nephews; and special caregiver, Lois Dickerson.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Rocky Ford Chrisitan Church in Cana, Virginia at 2:00 PM with Pastor Ronnie Collins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Rocky Ford Christian Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Rocky Ford Christian Church in Cana, Virginia on Friday, November 22, 2024 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
