Sarah Elizabeth Rotenberry Smith, 95, of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center. Ms. Smith was born on December 30, 1916 in Sugar Grove, VA. Survivors include her children and spouses, James and Bonnie Smith of Hillsville, Clarence and Delores Smith of Radford, Charles O. and Geanavie Grace-Smith of Tallahassee, Florida, and Elizabeth Ann and Connie Parnell of Bassett; sister, Lenora Gillespie of Bristol, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A graveside service with burial following will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 3:00 PM at the Smith Lindsay Cemetery with Elder Lewis Vass officiating. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday from 1:00 until 2:30 PM prior to the graveside service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
