Sarah Catherine Goad, 57 of Radford, passed away at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center on Monday, August 14, 2023.  Sarah was born in Radford, Virginia on April 14, 1966 to the late Bishop Roy Leon Goad and Catherine Lucas Goad.

Survivors include her children, Marina-Elizabeth Venegas, Sara-Amanda Venegas, and Raul-William "Lucas" Venegas; sister, Suzanne Goad; brother, William Goad; nieces, Emily Goad and Chesney Goad; and nephews, Matthew Goad and Joel Hill.

Sarah was surrounded with family and friends before her final moments.  She enjoyed passing time with crochet, cross-stitch, creating artwork, and spending time with friends.  She was working on getting in touch with her musical roots before last stay in the hospital. In her younger years she played organ and performed vocals with her siblings in "The Faith Team" in the early 1980's.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the West View Cemetery in Radford, with Craig Shelton officiating.  The family will receive friends at the gravesite service at 12:55 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to be used to pay Sarah Goad's existing expenses.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
