Sandra Carol Davis age 78 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia on October 30, 2022.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on January 3, 1944, she was daughter to Charlie and Regina Moore each of whom preceded her in death.

She graduated from Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1962. She then attended Milligan College in Eastern Tennessee and graduated with a bachelor's degree. While at Milligan, she met the love of her life, Carl Davis and they were married on January 28, 1964.

Sandy's passion was teaching and made a career as a teacher. She also served as a Sunday school teacher, a pianist and in church leadership in other capacities.

She had strong faith in Jesus Christ. Sandy valued the strong Christian and family attitudes and beliefs that formed the character of the people of Carroll County.

Sandy is survived by sons Kevin Davis and wife Mari Davis of Texas and Gannon Davis and wife Nevada Davis of Virginia; granddaughters Jagger Davis and Axton Davis of Virginia; sister Judi McKenzie of California; sister-in-law Janie Branscome and husband Leroy Branscome of Virginia; nephews Michael Branscome and wife Carol Branscome of Virginia and Scott McKenzie and wife Denise McKenzie of California; nieces Selena King and husband Joe King of Virginia and Sherry Cuellar and husband Christian Cuellar of California; as well as, numerous cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hillsville Christian Church (across from the middle school) in Hillsville, Virginia on Thursday, November 3rd at 5:00 pm.
