Sandra Lynn Arvizo, 62 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Novant Forsyth Medical Center.  Mrs. Arvizo was born in Carroll County, Virginia on September 5, 1963.  She was preceded in death by her infant son, Alejandro Worrell; father, Elmer Jefferson Worrell; mother, Lyndell Carylon Gravley Lemons; and sisters, Patricia Ruiz and Deborah Padron.

Survivors include her husband, Leon Perez Arvizo; children, Rafael Worrell, Maria and Benny Ruiz, and Nicolas Worrell and fiancé, Erica Randall; grandchildren, Evan Ruiz, Maya Ruiz, and Selena Karre; sister, Sherry Rosas; step-brother, Justin Yacovielle; step-dad, Roger Lemons; brother-in-law, Ramon Ruiz and Silverio Rosas; mother-in-law, Josefina Perez; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Wilma Carroccio and Shirley Alley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mountain Plains Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
