Samuel Lee Riffey, 60 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at his home.  Mr. Riffey was born in Abingdon, VA on February 17, 1964.  He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Lee Riffey; brother, Robert Riffey; and step-fathers, Robert Harrison and Buford Edwards.

Survivors include his wife, Racheal Riffey; children, Samantha Riffey (Lane Hill), Samuel Lee Riffey, Jr. (Kimberly), Joseph Eugene Lowe (Denise); mother, Jeanne Edwards; special sis, Pat Wilcox (John and family); two granddaughters, Ahliyah Riffey and Roxanne Lowe; special father-in-law, Joseph Glenn Semones; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Coulson Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Russell Payne and Dr. Wayburn Mosley officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  Burial will follow in the James Robinson Cemetery. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
