Samuel L. Montgomery, 65, of Hillsville, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Montgomery was born in Carroll County to the late Cecil B. and Mabel Webb Montgomery. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia F. Montgomery of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle M. and Steve Martin of Hillsville; granddaughters, Lindsay Brooke Martin, Cassie Grace Martin, and Sami Elizabeth Martin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmie B. and Erma S. Montgomery and John W. and Ruth S. Montgomery all of Hillsville, niece, Kathleen Montgomery, and nephew, John Montgomery, Jr. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Maria Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in the John P. Webb Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
