Samuel Lee Lindsey, 82, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Mr. Lindsey was born in Carroll County to the late Carl Levi and Edna Lee Henley Lindsey. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, James Lindsey. Survivors include his wife, Betty Quesinberry Lindsey of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Tim Sharp of Woodlawn and Lora Lindsey of Hillsville; grandchildren, Joey Sharp and Danielle Sharp both of Woodlawn; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Cora Lindsey, Lonnie and Ima Lindsey and Roger and Janette Lindsey all of Hillsville; sisters, Darlene Quesenberry of Hillsville and Maxine Quesenberry of Woodlawn; sisters-in-law and spouse, Mary Lee and Alfred Howlett of Hillsville, Gloria Fowler of Woodlawn, India Mae Quesinberry of Woodlawn, Mary Ellen Quesinberry of Woodlawn, and Katie Lindsey of Hillsville. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Don Sizemore, Pastor Russell Payne and Pastor Hal Sonafrank officiating. Burial will follow in the Bobbitt-Quesenberry Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
