Sammie Eugene Phillips, 97 of Willis, VA passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows Nursing and Rehab. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Matherly Phillips; daughter, Linda Amburn; parents, Samuel J. and Freda Wade Phillips.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-laws, Eugene J. and Vicky Phillips of Indian Valley, VA, and Marcus and Donna Phillips of Hillsville, VA; son-in-law, Roy Amburn; brothers, Rudolph Phillips, and Carlos Phillips; sister, Eula Tate; three grandchildren and spouse, Abby and Bobby Turman, Kevin Phillips and companion Kerri Hunley, Crystal Casstevens and companion Josh Willard; seven great-grandchildren.
