Sadie Goad, 59, of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Mrs. Goad was born in Galax, VA to the late Creed and Rosie Alice Felts Hawks. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie O. Goad of the home; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tammy Goad of Hillsville; granddaughter, Haley Goad; siblings and spouses, Sammy and Wanda Sumners of Hillsville, Randy Hawks of Carroll County, Debra and Vincent Belton of Austinville, and Tony and Pam Hawks of Carroll County; and special friend, Cindy Sechrist. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dewey Felts officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaac Banks Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
