Ruth Nettie Strickland, 74, of Eden, North Carolina and formerly of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Hospice Home in Reidsville, NC. Mrs. Strickland was born in Carroll County to the late Price and Beulah Ann Caviness Frazier. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Strickland. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Gene and Kathy Stratton of Eden, NC and sister, Mary "Peggy" Weddle of Hillsville. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 1:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Shorts Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
