Ruth Pauley Richardson, age 84, of Bland, passed away Friday, May 21, 2010 at Wytheville, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late William Gordon Pauley and Freelove Hancock Pauley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cloyd Bud Richardson; brothers, Perry and Charlie Pauley; and sisters, Clara Gambel, Annie Belle Harold, Edith Kitts, and Ellen Louise Dryden Jones. Several nieces and nephews survive. The family would like to express a special Thank You to the staff at Carrington Place for their devotion and loving care given to Ruth.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Bland United Methodist Church, with Rev. Joe Mack Taylor and Rev. Doug Hyndrich officiating. Burial will follow in the Bland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour preceding the service at the church.
