Ruth Shupe Nester, 58, of Hillsville, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Nester is survived by her husband Olen G. Nester of the home; sons & daughter-in-law Timothy O. Nester of Hillsville and Matthew A. & Heather B. Nester of Woodlawn; two grandsons Jacob Nester and Tyler Nester; brother & sister-in-law Harold & Kathy Shupe of Hillsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Russell Payne and Pastor Leo Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in the Pickett Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
