Ruth F. Largen, 87 of Austinville, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at Trinity Mission of Hillsville; Mrs. Largen was born in Carroll County to the late James & Laura Chappel Farmer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lane Largen. She is survived by a son, Early L. Largen, Austinville, daughters, Betty Kenny, Galax, Mary Ruth Largen, Hillsville, one granddaughter, seven grandsons, fourteen great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Irene Robinson.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Elder Ronald Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Memory Gardens in Galax. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening 6 until 8 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
