Ruth Richardson Chassevent, age 77, passed away Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016.

Mrs. Chassevent was the daughter of the late Marvin and Mary Alderman Richardson, a homemaker, and member of Christian Life Worship Center.

Survivors include her husband, George Chassevent of the residence; a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond Claude and Gail Brown Chassevent, Fountain Inn, S.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and David Hancock, McDonough, Lora and Ed Henry, Palm Bay, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Raymond, Anna, Amelia, John, Lauren, Faith, Ansley, Kayla and Wesley; two great-grandchildren, Hayden and Elijah; two brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2016 at Woodlawn United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with her brother, Edward A. Richardson speaking. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Church Cemetery, Woodlawn, Va. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service.
