Russell Bates Hanson's Obituary
Russell Bates Hanson, 74, of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Salem Health and Rehab. He is survived by his sons David Russell Hanson, Chris Harold Hanson, and Stephen Sean Hanson; siblings Elizabeth Gifford, Christina Baldino, Conrad Hanson, Harold Hanson, and Karen Salamoni; mother of his children and close friend Edith Hewitt; and three grandchildren. A private memorial service and inurnment will be held in New York at a later date. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
