Russell Reeves Dalton, 82 of Hillsville, passed away at the Carrington Place of Wytheville on Thursday, October 11, 2007. He was born March 5, 1925 the son of the late Franklin Pierce and Samarie McPeak Dalton. Mr. Dalton is survived by his wife Bonnie C. Dalton of the home; daughter Brenda Dalton Gravley of Hillsville; son & daughter-in-law Lewis & Janie Gravely of Radford; three grandchildren & spouse Kevin & Elaine Gravely, Britne Gravley and Faith Gravley; two great grandchildren Courtney Gravely and Carrie Gravely; and sister Cosby Nester of Hillsville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 13, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Rev. Darrell Long and Rev. Lacy Griffith officiating. Burial will follow in the Branscome Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will be gathering at the home of Brenda Dalton Gravley at 270 Shiloh Drive and will be receiving friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Friday, October 12, 2007 from 7:00 until 9:00 PM.
