Rush Edward Hull, 77 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Rush was born in Carroll County to the late Edward S. & Nancy Bolt Hull. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother Dixie Hull, infant brother Mawyer and infant sister Juanita. Rush is survived by his wife Nancy Q. Hull of the home; daughter & son-in-law Myra (Jody) & Mike Yates of Clintwood, VA; son & daughter-in-law Gary S. & Shelia Hull of Clintwood, VA; sister Katherine Gardner of Floyd; grandchildren & spouses Ashley & Adrian Rasnake, Ryan & Wendy Hull, Jacob & Kim Yates and Russell Hull; great grandchildren Erin Rasnake and Marcus Yates; several nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 4:00 PM with Elder Edward Bowman officiating. Burial will be on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Horton Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
