Rufus Cloud, 76 of Laurel Fork, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Cloud is survived by his wife Polly Cloud of the home; daughters & son-in-law Teresa Payne of Stuart and Vanessa & Ronnie Quesenberry of Meadows of Dan; son & daughter-in-law Rufus & Pam Cloud, Jr. of Cana; sisters & brothers-in-law Inez & Jack Bowman of Hillsville and Ruby & Winford Culler of Mt. Airy, NC; and granddaughter Tracy Leigh Payne.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 7, 2006 at Crooked Oak Missionary Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Oscar Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Crooked Oak Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday night at the funeral home.
