Ruby Shupe , 96, of Austinville, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Shupe was born in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Monroe and Rachael Beasley Flanagan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Wise Shupe; son-in-law, Jack Parris; three brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include her children and spouse, James and Phyllis Shupe, Margie Parris and Alonzo Shupe, Sr. all of Austinville; sister, Ethel Parnell of Bassett; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Vaughan- Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Elder Ronald Bowman and Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the Beasley Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
