Ruby Sharpe, 81, of Hillsville passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Richfield Recovery and Care Center in Salem, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mason James Sharpe; father, Glen Branscome; mother, Elsie Mutespaugh Branscome Bentley; step-father, Charles Bentley; brother, Eugene Branscome. Survivors include her children and spouses, Mason "Jimmy" Sharpe of Hillsville, Miriam Burnette of Bedford, Robin and Tommy Graham of Bluefield, VA, and Glen Sharpe of Stafford; sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Tommy Beasley of Hillsville; brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Lois Branscome of Bristol, VA; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; best friend Vicki Cooper; cousins, Jerry Branscome, Harden Branscome, Donna Kiser, and Sue Branscome. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside Service and Burial will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Mountain Plains Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Mountain Plains Cemetery. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
