Obituary

Ruby B. Pinkerton, 86 of Dugspur, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mrs. Pinkerton, along with her husband, was a missionary in the Congo for 40 years, retired in 1992, and moved to the Dugspur area in 1994. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob G. & Kathryn B. Bemisderfer and her brother, Glen Bemisderfer. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Emory Pinkerton of the home, and her six children & their spouses Nancy & Michael Millar of Dugspur, David & Mary Ann Pinkerton of Houma, LA, John & Sharon Pinkerton of Elmer, NJ, Mary Ann & Michael Verno of Gloucester City, NJ, Jim & Jill Pinkerton of Banner Elk, NC and Chuck & Susan Pinkerton of Strathroy, Ontario, Canada; brothers Jacob Bemisderfer and Kenneth Bemisderfer; sisters Jane Scholz, Virginia Lawson, Joanne Mason and Joy Ayers; ten grandchildren Becky Millar, Shannon Eberwein, Shellen Pinkerton, Mitchell Verno, Jacob Verno, Megan Verno, Joshua Pinkerton, Daniel Pinkerton, William Pinkerton, and Kristen Pinkerton; and one great grandchild Selena Verno.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 20, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ed Lanning officiating. Burial will follow in the Branscome Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
