Ruby Lillian Hartsoe Padgett, 77, of Hillsville, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Padgett is survived by her husband Ottie Padgett of the home; daughter Libby Padgett Whitaker of Dobson, NC; sons Mitchell Padgett of Waxhaw, NC and David Hartsoe of Kernersville, NC; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special sister-in-law Betty Padgett; and special friend Martha Allen.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 1:00 PM at Gardner Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Charles Smythers officiating. Friends will be received at the home anytime. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Twin County Hospice P.O. Box 106, Galax, VA 24333.
