Roy Alton Edmonds, 66 of Woodlawn, passed away on Friday, February 01, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Edmonds was born in Carroll County to the late Thomas Lee and Mabel Lea Edmonds. He is survived by his sons & daughters-in-law Thomas E. & Elizabeth Edmonds of Wythe County and Glen A. & Jennifer Edmonds of Hillsville; brothers & sisters-in-law David L. & Linda Edmonds of Woodlawn; sister Maudie Shupe of Austinville; and four grandchildren Christopher Johnson, Jacob Edmonds, Sarah Edmonds, and Matthew Johnson.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Norman Goad officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
