Roosevelt Wise Chappell, 83, of Hillsville passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Survivors include his wife, Helen Woods Chappell of the home; two sons, Jeff Chappell and Wayne Chappell both of the home; brother and sister-in-law, James and Barbara Chappell of Fancy Gap. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Gerald Tilley officiating. Burial will follow in the Worrell Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Bethel Baptist Church on Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Chappell family.
