Roland Wallace Mabe, of, Woodlawn, passed away on Saturday November 29, 2014 at UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC. Mr. Mabe was born in Carroll County to the late William Andrew and Hattie Burnett Mabe. He is also preceded in death by several siblings. Mr. Mabe is survived by his wife, Ethel Hash Mabe of, the home, a daughter, Julie Champion of, Woodlawn, and a very special Granddaughter, Morgan Carico who was the love of his life. He is also survived by his three other children and sisters, Cleona Lineberry of, Woodlawn, and Nancy Tolbert of, Galax. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 2, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at the Coulson Church Of The Brethern where Pastor Harry Shelton and Pastor Russell Payne will Officiate. The burial will follow in the Mabe Cemetery in Woodlawn. There will be a visitation from 12:00 P.M. Tuesday December 2, 2014 until the time of services.
