Rodney Paul Melton, 81 of Woodlawn, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Melton is survived by his wife Laura B. (Lura) Melton of the home; daughters Paula Melton of Woodlawn and Susan Melton of Hampstead, NC; and faithful friend Richard Clary.

Funeral services will be Sunday, June 11, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with the Rev. Steve Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Richard Beasley Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Saturday night at the funeral home.
