Roby Dexter McCraw, 91 of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. McCraw was born in Carroll County to the late Daniel & Lela Leftwich McCraw. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Myrties Midkiff McCraw; brothers Emmett McCraw, Robert McCraw and Howard McCraw; sisters Iola McCraw Combs and Gladys McCraw Hill; and great grandson Joseph Craig McCraw, Jr.. Survivors include son & daughter-in-law J.D. & Pat McCraw of Hillsville; daughter & son-in-law Janet & Edward Pearson of Tobaccoville, NC; grandchildren & spouses Craig & Debbie McCraw, Lisa & Rod Senecal, Rebecca & Jason Mitchell, Jimmy Boyd , and Amy Boyd; sister Violet McCraw Hall of Mount Airy, NC; sister-in-law & spouse Arnida & Don Wilson; 11 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friend Robin McCraw.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Elder Ronald Bowman, Elder Tim McGrady, and Elder Michael McGrady officiating. Burial will follow in the Webb Skyview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
