Robert Chester Owen Myers 92 of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows Nursing and Rehab. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sanders and Flarrie Mae Gunter Myers; siblings, Eva Harmon, Oma Melton, Jettie Robinson, Mae Lineberry, Jean Edwards, Cova Myers, and Walter Myers.

Survivors include his children and spouses, Melvin J. and Lorrie Myers, Michael R. and Vicki Myers, Melissa Myers Hiatt and Johnny, Melody M. Surratt and Gary, Misty Banks and Alan; twenty-one grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Graveside Service and Burial will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, Virginia with Rev. Ray Bolen and Rev. Jimmy Harmon officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. Military Rites will be conducted at the gravesite by Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Myers family.
