Robert Harold Marshall, age 79, of Port Crane, New York, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2015. He was born July 13, 1935, in Caretta, West Virginia, the son of the late Sherlie and Blanche (Crouse) Marshall. In 1954 he graduated from Big Creek High School, War, West Virginia. He also attended vocational school to learn the trade of a machinist. For many years he lived in Maryland and worked as a machinist in the Washington, D.C. area. Bob married Francis Terry and she preceded him in death in 2002. In addition to his parents and his wife, Bob was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Marshall; one sister, Lauretta Marshall; two nephews, Jay Harrison and Sgt. James Altizer. He is survived by his loving family: one brother, Rev. Michael Marshall (wife, Wanda) of Greenville, PA; two sisters, Shirley Harrison (husband, James) of Albuquerque, NM, and Brenda Graham (husband, James) of North Tazewell, VA; two step-daughters, Joyce Grubham (husband, David), and Jan Weeks; two step-granddaughters, Amy and JoEllen; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at 1:00 p.m., at the Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, VA, with his brother, Rev. Michael Marshall, officiating. The family will receive friends from noon until the hour of service. Burial will be at Cox Cemetery, Dugspur, VA. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
