Robert "Bob" L. Allison, Jr., 78, of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Mr. Allison was born in Pulaski, VA to the late Robert Leonard Allison, Sr. and Blanche Irene Turman Allison. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Dale Allison.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby L. Allison of the home; children and spouses, Dawn and Doug Carico of Hillsville, Rebecca Edwards and fiancé, Johnnie Tucker of Hillsville, and Bill and Pam Lintecum of Hillsville; special daughter, Debbie Pickett and husband, Joe of Hillsville; brothers and sister-in-law, Kenneth Allison of Carrollton and Wendell and Louise Allison of Dublin; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Glen Watson of Hillsville; grandchildren, Seth Carico and Travis Lintecum; special grandchildren, Nathan Pickett and Kelsey Peters; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Shiloh United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dina Clower and Rev. Ray Bolen officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church for Medical bills for Bob Allison c/o Melody Surratt, 1583 Coon Ridge Road, Hillsville, VA 24343. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
