Robert (Bob) H. Green, age 70 of Laurel Fork, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. Mr. Green was born in Eckman, West Virginia to the late William Harvey & Beulah Albert Mallory Green. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters Dorothy Thomason, Lucille Mallory, and Lorraine Phelps. Mr. Green retired from GM after 31 years of service and was a member of UAW Local #659 in Flint, Michigan. He was also a member of the Hillsville Masonic Lodge #193 AF & AM. He is survived by his wife, Janice I. Green of the home; daughters & sons-in-law Deborah G. & Carl Sonnenschein of Winston Salem, NC and Karen M. OBrien of Clemmons & John OBrien of High Point, NC; and two grandchildren Elizabeth J. OBrien of the home and Katie H. OBrien of Clemmons, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Crooked Oak Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Oscar Hill and Rev. Sanford Hendrick officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Park in West Virginia. Military Rites will be conducted at the graveside. Mr. Greens nephews will be serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt.
