Robert "Bobby" Elmo Nester 61, of Hillsville passed away on Saturday, January 05, 2019 at Heritage Hall Laurel Meadows Nursing and Rehab in Laurel Fork, VA. He was preceded in death by his father Melton Elmo Nester; granddaughter, Skylar Paige Sain.

Survivors include his mother, Hulen Texas Nester of Hillsville; sons and daughter-in-law, Robert Michael and Crystal Nester of Sylvatus, and Douglas Nester of Galax; daughters and sons-in-laws, Melissa Sain and Stephen Ayers of Galax, and Jennifer and Michael Littreal of Laurel Fork; brothers and sister-in-law, Stephen Nester of Hillsville, and Jeffery and Dena Nester of Hillsville; sister and brother-in-law, Julia Edmonds and Joe Harmon of Galax; eleven grandchildren, Ammelia, Jaxson, Harlin, Odessa, Mozell, Samantha, Elijah, Elizabeth, Wyatt, Emmalynn, and Marshall; great granddaughter, Daisy. Several nieces and nephews and many special friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Stacy Redd officiating. Burial will follow in the Nester Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family for funeral expenses. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the Nester family.
