Robert Dean Russell, 63 of Fancy Gap, Virginia passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Dean Hanks; mother, Betty Hill Russell; step-father, James Russell.

Survivors include his wife, Jill Russell of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Brooke and Jeremy Hall; grandchildren, Alison, Annie, and Theo; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gregg and Wanda Hanks, and Michael and Missy Russell; sister and brother-in-law, Joey and George Fourroux; special niece, Brittany Russell; best friend, Duane Carter.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 7:00 PM at Skyview Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Wendell Horton officiating.
