Robert Glen Bond, 88 of Galax, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Twin County Regional Hospital.  Mr. Bond was born in Carroll County to the late Robert Raymond and Beulah Sawyers Bond.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Lorene and Tuck Peterson; and brother, Guy Bond.

Survivors include his wife, Lannie M. Bond; daughter, Angela Utt; grandchildren, Alesia Utt Goad (Bradley), Jacob Utt, and Joshua Utt (Myiesha); siblings, Virginia Ruth Jennings (Darrell), Betty Varner (Russell) and Joyce Cole; sister-in-law, Carolyn Bond;  and one great-grandson.

A graveside service with burial following will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the Bobbitt Quesinberry Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Pastor Wendell Horton officiating.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
