Robert Gentry "Bobby" Waller, 67, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at his home in Hillsville, VA, and his cancer is cured forever.

He was born on August 31, 1949, and raised in the Iron Ridge community of Galax, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford Gentry and Edna Irene (Warf) Waller.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathleen (Horton) Waller; his daughter, Tammy Grimm, her husband Mark, and their children, Jamie, Louis, Joshua, and Hannah; his daughter, Rena Babcock, her husband, Anthony, and their children, Alysha and Caleb; his daughter, Danielle Crosby, and her children Jonathan and Elijah. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Hill; Gail Williams and her husband Johnny; and Sue Melton and her husband Virgil; his sister-in-law, Brenda Lambert; and his niece, Julie Surratt, who was brought up with him like a little sister.

Bobby was blessed with uncles, nieces, nephews, and many close friends that he loved like fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, and children and he will be greatly missed by all.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 31, 2017, from 1:00-2:00pm followed by a memorial service in celebration of his life at 2:30pm, both at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville. The burial will follow at C.C. Webb Cemetery.

Bobby touched many lives and had an impact on all who knew him.
