Robert Keith Beamer, age 81 of Fancy Gap, Virginia, husband of Adell Bowman Beamer, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Woltz Hospice House in Dobson, NC. Mr. Beamer was born on June 11, 1935 to the late Bob and Frances Bunn Beamer. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, David Keith Beamer; and brothers, Charles Beamer, Don Beamer, Gearl Beamer, and James Beamer.

In addition to his wife of 61 years, Mr. Beamer is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Moir and Susan Beamer and Glenwood and Angela Beamer and daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Steve Combs. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer and Neal Hawks, Kevin and Kristen Beamer, Matthew and Kayla Beamer, Brittany and Scott Sherrill, Jessica and Cody Vaughn, Jarrett and Channing Combs and Dylan Stiltner; seven great-grandchildren, Haley Hawks, Hayden Hawks, Tucker Beamer, Dru Beamer, Polly Beamer, Teague Vaughn, and Haze Vaughn; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois Cloud, Alease and Roddie Iroler, Peggy and Jackie Horton, Shirley and Benny White, and Patsy and Ted Newman.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville, VA from 6:00 to9:00 PM. The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Rev. Bobby Webb and Rev. Larry Jones officiating. Burial will follow at the Webb-Skyview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Round Knob Missionary Baptist Church, 2164 Greenberry Road, Fancy Gap, VA 24328 or to the Woltz Hospice House, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
