Rita Ann McLarty, 82 of Hillsville, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.  Mrs. McLarty was born in Columbus, OH on April 28, 1943.  She retired from Iredell County Clerk of Superior Courts office in Statesville, NC.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Mary Angelcor Benvenuti and husband, Billy A. McLarty.

Survivors include her sister, Gloria J. Thompson; step-son, Bobby J. McLarty; step-daughter, Brenda Argyle; daughter-in-law, Kimberly A. McLarty; step-granddaughter, Jennifer A. Maes; step-grandson, Scott C. McLarty; two step-great-grandsons, Nicholas McLarty and Michael S. McLarty; and brother-in-law, Jerry McLarty.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Charles Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the funeral service.  Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
