Rita Bolen, 49 of Fancy Gap, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at MCV in Richmond. Mrs. Bolen was born in Galax, VA to the late Ray and Linda Isom Nichols.

Survivors include her husband, David W. Bolen, Jr. of the home; and children, Morgan Lyons, Burkley Lyons, Trevor Bolen, and Ben Bolen all of Fancy Gap.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Hillsville with Pastor Robert Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Morris Cemetery in Fancy Gap. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the food pantry at the First United Methodist Church or to a family in the community that is going through cancer. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
